The client was looking for ways to diversify their B2C insurance range. We created a product that covers policyholders for all failed transaction costs, supported by an interactive timeline that points out high-risk parts of the buying process.
We ran insight workshops with the client's existing customers to spot pain points. Failed house transactions were a hot topic and we further research told us the average buyer spends £2,500 in moving fees and still, 22% of transactions fail.
Co-creation sessions with people who had experienced failed transactions shaped our early prototypes into a final direction. We worked with policy writers and our own developers to launch an early version of the product within 4 months of kick off.
